The clouds have parted and the angels are singing! Moroccan Oil is amazing!!! If you have uncontrollable frizzy hair like me, this is your remedy! All you need is a dime size amount. After showering, I let my hair dry about 30% and then apply the oil. It doesn’t make my hair heavy like most frizz control serums and most importantly, it works! You can get this at most salons near you or if you’re trying to save you moo-lah, they have the Organix Moroccan Oil line at Walgreens!

How To’s: Fun Way To Wear Hair Accessories
I have been loving this style recently and decided to try it on my own, and I like the way it turned out! This is such a simple hairstyle and once you add a bow, headband, or flower it gives it some glam! This bow I used is actually a stretchy headband! I folded the sides and pinned them underneath the actual bow. Now go and add a little special touch to your next updo!!

How To: Preparing Your Hair For the Perfect Style
“To wash, or not to wash?”
So, everyone has heard that dirty hair is better for styling updos. Here is my opinion on what you should do on or before the big day.
If you wash your hair EVERYDAY, then wash your hair the morning of, hours before your appointment, then dry COMPLETELY.
If you don’t wash your hair everyday, wash your hair the day before. 2-3 day old hair is not good. Dry shampoo can always be added if it a tad dirty but a greasy mess is never a good thing.
Preparing your hair:
COME TO YOUR APPOINTMENT WITH COMPLETELY DRY HAIR!
I cannot stress that enough. Time is ALWAYS of essence, on your wedding day and to your stylist. It is also best to add a little product to your damp hair before you dry it (gel or thermal protectant is always a good idea).
Part your hair where you want it and dry it that way. You can achieve more volume when drying your hair with your head up-side-down. Also, if you want to include your natural curl, use a diffusor when drying or allow to air-dry COMPLETELY. Again, make sure to add product to control frizz.

HOW TO: Getting Perfect Wedding Day Hair

12-9 MONTHS BEFORE

If you don’t already have a wedding day stylist, ask friends for referrals.

6 MONTHS BEFORE

If you color or highlight your hair (or want to for the big day) start devising a plan with your stylist.

4 MONTHS BEFORE

Cut your hair into it’s final style. It will grow into a more natural look and you’ll have time to correct any mistakes.

2 WEEKS BEFORE

Trim your bangs or get a conditioning treatment or glaze put on your hair for extra shine.

1 WEEK BEFORE

Try not to use a ton of conditioner this week. It will help your hair to not be so silky smooth for your updo. It will give your hair texture for better hold.

1 DAY BEFORE   (IMPORTANT!!)

Wash and blow dry your hair for the last time till after the wedding. Talk with your stylist about any products you should use (if any) before going to bed. (Always a good idea to add a bit of thermal styling protection to your hair damp before the blow dry.)

Let the countdown begin!!

Weekend How To’s: Fishtail Braid

Fun things to try over the weekend!

Fishtail braids are huge right now and one of the easiest braids to do! Divide the hair in two big sections. Take one small piece from one side and add it to the other big section. Now do the same with the other side and repeat! Yes, it’s that simple!

For a more dramatic look, take each small piece and pull apart just enough to create that messy, almost beachy look.
